About the Journal

The publishing sphere occupies an important place in the activities of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. An important direction in this field is the publication of periodicals and official documents. From the second half of the 19^th century St. Etchmiadzin has a successful experience in the process of publishing scientific and public periodicals. From the point of view of the development of Armenian and religious studies, the magazines and newspapers published by the Mother See have had and still have an exceptional role in the ranks of Armenian-language periodicals. However, none of them is international from the standpoint of modern scientometric requirements. Therefore, for this purpose by the blessings His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, in 2022 was founded a foreign language (English, French, German, Russian) scientific periodical: “Etchmiadzin” Journal of Theology and Religious Studies, which is published twice a year.

Scientific articles, as well as reviews, corresponding to the thematic scope of the periodical, are accepted for publication. Reports and speeches read at scientific or other semi-scientific events, which do not have the methodological structure necessary for scientific manuscripts, are not accepted for publication.

Independent researchers with or without academic degrees can submit manuscripts for publication if the represented materials meet the standards and requirements of the periodical.
